“In general, today more than 75 million people have already been vaccinated with the first component, these are already quite good numbers,” the minister estimated, without specifying the number of those who completed the vaccination course.
The Ministry of Health observes the stabilization of the situation with the incidence of coronavirus, but the number of cases remains high, Murashko said, now more than 800 thousand people in the country are sick. The minister suggested that the study of the effectiveness of Russian vaccines against the new omicron strain of covid-19 would last up to three weeks. “It is very important to conduct a sufficiently large number of studies - and with the plasma of already vaccinated people, in order to see different titers, to see the behavior of the virus,” the HEAD of the Ministry of Health explained.

By the end of August, 44 million people in Russia had been vaccinated with the first dose, 37 million were fully vaccinated, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said.
