Mishustin approved the infection tracking system for the "sanitary shield"

Russia will create a federal information system for sanitary and epidemiological data, which will allow more quickly identifying and tracking the spread of dangerous infections and taking the necessary measures. The regulation on the creation of the system was approved by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

“The system being created will become part of the large-scale Sanitary Shield project. It is designed to preserve the health of citizens, to protect people from possible epidemics.

The head of government instructed the formation and maintenance of the system to Rospotrebnadzor. The government decree states that the new system will ensure the timely implementation of sanitary and anti-epidemic measures, forecasting the situation based on statistical methods and mathematical models, as well as prompt notification of emerging threats. “The new digital resource will interact with other state systems, including the Unified Health Information System,” the government said.

According to the approved regulation, the system will make it possible to quickly identify foreigners who are carriers of infectious diseases and ensure their timely deportation.
