Minister of Health of the Perm Territory Anastasia Kruten officially announced the third wave of coronavirus in the Kama region. The statement was published on her personal page in Instagram.
“There is an increase in Covid cases and we are talking about the third wave. Of course, the number of patients is less than it was in winter. Especially less than it was in October-November. We perfectly understand why this growth happened: summer, vacations, many public events. Perhaps the population felt happiness, freedom and refused to wear masks,” the head of the Ministry of Health of the Kama region said in a statement.
The minister noted that the situation with the coronavirus in the Kama region is developing in a better way compared to the autumn and winter periods, and assured that the healthcare system is ready for the third wave of covid.
“I would like to say that today the system (health care - approx.) Has a certain margin of safety. We can increase the bed fund three times and this bed fund is ready. All specialists who provide assistance in the fight against covid in the field remain to work. We are in a better situation compared to last year, because we worked with the infection, we have experience, knowledge and a certain list of medicines that were not there at the beginning of the spread of the infection,” Kruten added in her message on the social network.
Earlier, RBC Perm reported that at a meeting of the regional operational headquarters, the authorities discussed the situation with the coronavirus. The governor instructed to work out the issue of remote work of some employees who have not been vaccinated against Covid. It is also proposed to cancel or reschedule previously planned public events. According to the press service of the government of the region, a fundamental decision for their conduct will be to ensure the safety and availability of PCR tests or vaccination certificates for participants and spectators.
