Ukrainian Foreign Ministry invited Macron to a glass of wine in Kyiv

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry invited French President Emmanuel Macron to Kyiv for a glass of wine. The department posted the corresponding post on Twitter.

“Your health, Mr. President Emmanuel Macron. The next glass is in Kyiv, ”the message says.

This is how the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reacted to Macron's toast. In a video posted by the Ukrainian foreign ministry, the French president is seen raising a glass of wine as the crowd yells “be it”—a toast in Ukrainian. In response, Macron said "for Ukraine."

The event took place in the city of Nevers, department of Nièvre, where Macron arrived on an official visit regarding cultural issues. The head of state was accompanied by Minister of Culture Roselyne Bachelot, who was born in Nevers.
