In Egypt, there is a shortage of rooms in five-star hotels due to an "unprecedented influx" of Russian tourists, Izvestia reports, citing the Egyptian embassy in Moscow.
“The current shortage of rooms is temporary due to the unprecedented influx of tourists from RUSSIA to Egyptian resorts, it is observed in luxury hotels from five stars and above,” the embassy said.

At the same time, diplomats noted that there are many free rooms in other hotels. In addition, due to increased demand for Egyptian resorts, "new hotels and tourist facilities are opening every day," the embassy said.
The diplomatic mission also added that the situation with CORONAVIRUS infection in Egypt remains stable and “there are no signs of its deterioration due to Russian tourists” to the resorts of Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh.
