Bashkiria will receive another 45.4 million rubles to provide free medicines for COVID-19 to outpatients. In total, an additional 2.4 billion rubles will be distributed between the regions. The funds will be sent from the reserve fund of Russia, which will provide drugs to almost 790 thousand people. The corresponding government decree, signed by the country's Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, is published on the portal of legal information.

Most of the funds will be sent to St. Petersburg - 412.7 million rubles, the Irkutsk region - 87 million and Novosibirsk - 83 million rubles. The smallest interbudgetary transfers will be distributed to Baikonur - 86.8 thousand rubles, to the Chukotka and Nenets Autonomous Okrugs - 114 and 283 thousand rubles, respectively.

The drugs will be received by patients who are treated on an outpatient basis, at home. To prevent the severe course of coronavirus, they are prescribed combined treatment regimens. All necessary medicines are issued free of charge by prescription of the attending physician.

Earlier, Bashkiria has already received more than 367 million rubles from the country's reserve fund for the purchase of medicines for such patients. In November 2020, the region was allocated 151.9 million rubles, in December - another 83.9 million rubles. In January and March 2021, the republic received 66.9 and 64.7 million rubles for these purposes.

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of RBC Ufa reported that to date, almost 95% of the funds received from the federal treasury have been contracted, delivered to drug warehouses for 346.3 million rubles, released to medical organizations - for 337.8 million rubles.
