The Ministry of Health of Argentina has published interim data on the vaccination campaign in the country. The report contains information on the incidence of side effects for all vaccines used in Argentina.

Here, three drugs are registered and used for mass vaccination - the Russian "Sputnik V" from the Center. Gamaleya, Covishield of the British-Swedish company AstraZeneca and the Chinese vaccine Sinopharm.

The report is based on data as of the end of July. The two most popular vaccines in Argentina are Sputnik V and Covishield, with 11.37 million and 11.1 million doses respectively. Another 9.7 million falls on Sinopharm.

Seven months after the start of mass vaccination, 50.4 thousand reports of side effects were registered here, or 156.8 cases per 100 thousand. We are talking about ESAVI (Events Supposedly Attributable to Vaccination or Immunization) cases, when side effects occurred after the introduction of the vaccine , although this does not necessarily mean a direct causal relationship. The proportion of severe cases requiring hospitalization was 1.99% (1,000 cases).
