Vitebsk Concern Meat and Dairy Products more than doubled exports to China in 2020

March 7, Vitebsk. Enterprises of the state association Vitebsk Concern MEAT and Dairy Products have more than doubled their exports to the Chinese market in 2020, BelTA learned from the concern.

In total, during this period, goods worth about $6 million were shipped to partners from the Middle Kingdom. The concern pays special attention to increasing exports to the most capacious food market. An important part of the marketing strategy of Belarusian exporters in 2021 will be to ensure the effective functioning of the National Pavilion at the G-Hub exhibition complex in Shanghai, which will help increase the recognition of Vitebsk products and increase their exports to CHINA .

The total EXPORT volume of the concern's enterprises at the end of 2020 amounted to $194 million, the growth rate was 106.7%. A positive balance of foreign trade in the amount of $185 million was secured. Products are supplied to 26 countries. In 2020, we managed to expand the geography of exports by entering the markets of Turkmenistan, Israel, the Philippines, Namibia, and Qatar. In the structure of exports, the largest share is occupied by cheese (more than 43%), canned MILK, whole milk products, animal butter (9% each), skimmed milk powder (7.5%), semi-finished meat products (4.6%), other types of production accounts for about 20%.

it was possible to increase activity in foreign markets due to the main commodity items. For example, the export of milk powder increased 1.9 times, whey powder - 1.4 times, cheese - by 20%, canned milk and semi-finished beef products - by 10%. In the marketing policy of the enterprises, they focus on expanding the geography and volume of deliveries of high-margin products.

In 2021, opportunities are being explored to increase sales in the markets of the Persian Gulf countries and the entire Asian region. At the same time, the main foreign economic partners of the concern are organizations from RUSSIA and the states that are members of the EAEU. In this direction, it is also planned to increase cooperation by increasing the volumes and expanding the range of deliveries, taking into account the fact that in 2020 alone, the concern's enterprises mastered the production of more than 330 new types of dairy and meat products.

Due to the fact that in 2021 it is planned to introduce labeling of dairy products with identification means in the EAEU countries, preparatory work has been carried out at all milk processing enterprises of the concern since October 2020. The list of manufactured dairy products was compared with the list and the planned dates for the introduction of labeling. In parallel, possible ways of applying means of identification are being worked out, both with the help of special software and in a typographical way. Updated electronic cards for the range of products in the Bank of electronic passports of goods EPASS.by. All milk processing enterprises of the concern are registered in the GIS system "Electronic sign", the necessary equipment is purchased and software is installed for the implementation of the first stage of marking.
