
October 20, Govi-Altai /BELTA - XINHUA/. An outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease in cattle has been recorded in the Mongolian aimag of Gov-Altai, and quarantine has been introduced. This was announced today by the administration of the region.
"To date, this disease is common in such soums of the named aimag as Sharga, Tayshir and Yesenbulag," the official statement says.
Foot and mouth disease is an acute viral disease of animals that can be transmitted to humans.
