Demand for fragrant cakes. How a mobile shop is delivered by boat to Polyanovka ringed by floods

Topic news

This year, nature brings surprise after surprise to the residents of Polyanovka, Vetka district. At first, abnormally large water came to the village in mid-January. Then, with the onset of hard frosts, then thaws, the situation changed almost every day. Local authorities, rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and employees of OSVOD "tacked" depending on the circumstances: they organized a boat crossing, lined up routes on the ice. Now the entrances to the village have been completely taken over by the spring flood. But the connection between the Polyanovites and the mainland has not been broken. OSVOD even delivered a mobile shop with a festive assortment by boat. A BelTA correspondent found out how the Polyanovtsy live in anticipation of the bright Easter holiday.

Together with the acting HEAD of the Vetka OSVOD rescue station Sergey Silkin, the seller of the mobile shop and two passengers, we set off from the shore in Staroye Selo.

Before boarding, Sergei Silkin reminds that transportation is possible only if accompanied by representatives of the organization. Each passenger is given a vest, the children's vest remains in stock. He is also in business every day. After all, a family with two children lives in neighboring dachas, and in the morning they go to Gomel, and in the afternoon they return to their house in natural silence.

OSVOD is available from 6 am to 8 pm. During the anomalous winter flood, almost all Polyanovtsy are known by sight. "Everyone contacts us directly," he smiles, holding up a notepad with a couple of days' advance booking.

With us in the boat and summer resident Elena. She has a plot in Polyanovka. The last time was a week ago. Now he learns from a neighbor that many have got water in their basements. The woman sighs, but does not lose heart: "So, we will make more salads, if anything. Vegetables must be saved."

In Polyanovka there are about 50 farmsteads, a little over 20 people live permanently. No one even thought of moving to another place. Most are people of retirement age. From time to time relatives come to visit elderly relatives. There are also those working in Gomel. For example, a nurse in a burn center is on duty according to the schedule - the local OSVOD organization has already learned it. Also, an 11th grader is sent to the school in Stary Selo.

The meeting point on the other side is at the alley of giant trees. The first houses along the street are no more than a kilometer away. Polyanovtsy are already pulling up to the appointed time. Shopping for groceries is important, but it's not the most important thing. Communication is something for which the villagers are ready to leave their plots for a while.

Shoes - ceremonial output, but rubber. Without this attribute, there is no way now: neither to pass through the site, nor to get closer to the mobile shop on the water.

"Vasilievich, how long did the water go? About five centimeters?" - the villagers are interested in the OSVOD representative.

“Yes, this day is minus 5 cm. This year we almost reached the level of 2013. And we won’t break this record any more - the water is receding,” Sergey Silkin answers.

The people's eye did not disappoint - another small reason for people to rejoice.

The meeting resembles a local gathering, but so simple and sincere. You can't imagine a better time for a preventive conversation. "Of course, we always talk to people. We distribute leaflets and memos, warning that there is now a ban on watercraft entering the reservoir. No self-activity, because people can use boats that are not intended for this, and this is an additional risk and danger. And there were no relapses in this area. Everything is calm, we satisfy all requests, "Sergey Silkin emphasizes.

One of the local residents approaches the representative of OSVOD - she is running out of gas in her cylinder. The woman is worried about whether she will have enough until the end of April. “Viktorovna, I don’t see a problem. Why wait? Form an application, don’t take risks. We will deliver the cylinder to you. Contact us, we won’t leave anyone,” Sergey Silkin assures.

Despite the elements and issues of everyday importance, one cannot do without admiring nature.

“Yes, once upon a time a local landowner planted this alley, and then people themselves annoyed it. It turned out beautifully,” says Maria Grigoryevna with knowledge of the matter. Someone expressed doubts about this, but the old-timers confirmed it. The local legend has been preserved. However, no one forgot about their daily bread.

Shop on board the ship - that even exotic. Everything is well organized, so no complaints.

The seller of the 6th category of the Gomel Central Market, Snezhana Polyakova, deftly and quickly puts up an impromptu showcase.

Snezhana serves every customer with love for business: she jokes with someone, exchanges news and kind words with someone.

As a result, boxes of goods are quickly emptied. For everything - no more than 40 minutes.

Usually, when delivered to a truck shop, more turnover is obtained. There is a little less on the boat, because the volume of products is smaller, but this is not always the case.

“For example, on Monday there was only one box, and now before the holiday there are three plus packages of MILK. Basically a standard grocery set: milk , kefir, sour cream, sausage, cookies. From the exotic today there was seaweed. This is rare, of course. Apparently "They want to make some kind of salad for Easter. They brought 11 Easter cakes, one of the women ordered five at once. We always bring vegetables and fruits. If you need an industrial group, you are always welcome. And washing, and cleaning, and washing powders, and toothpastes, and brushes - everything is there," says the seller.

Like the mobile shop, food delivery by boat is carried out twice a week. “We collect applications in advance and bring everything fresh. Of course, for so many years I know what people need,” Snezhana, who has been working in a mobile shop for 8 years, smiles warmly.

Pensioner Lyubov Petrovna Malyushina neatly puts the products on the list into a bag: "Milk, a loaf, sour cream - everything we need is brought to us. But for Easter we go to Staroe Selo or Gomel. OSVOD transports us." Her list of essentials also includes condensed milk, cottage cheese, eggs, cheese, Easter cake, butter. Almost everyone has their own list and cheat sheet, just in case, so as not to forget something.

Polyanovtsy prepared for the holiday, the mood is appropriate. The only thing most likely is that fewer people will come to visit.

“Nothing, everything’s fine. I’m inspecting my mother here. And my husband is on duty around the clock, so he brings everything from the city. So we stocked up on FLOUR, and we’ll bake our little pastry too. We'll meet the neighbors in the street, play eggs. Everything is fine," concludes Alla Antonenko.

"Wow, what kind of bike taxi do you have, Yakovlevich. How are you still pedaling?" - fervent women are interested in a fellow villager.

"Yes, I'm twisting!" - Vladimir Yakovlevich Melnikov laughs it off, correcting the pedals. But he does not forget about the list of necessary products prepared by his wife. After the purchase, with enthusiasm characteristic of the inhabitants of Polyanovka, he shares the urgent: “Although the area is lowland, the village is located in such a way that not a single house is flooded, but there is water in some gardens. Half of the population has already planted both potatoes and beds. Everything is fine, calm, the water is all around, the birds are singing, what else do we need," he says. By the way, in the pensioner's personal mechanical yard, a bicycle is not the only means of transportation. “There is a boat and a life jacket. If you need more, OSVOD always has it in reserve,” he adds, not without pride.

“The cellar has flooded. Now we will give an application, and they will come to us with pomp, pump it out,” Nina Mikhailovna joins the conversation.

"Our village has been divided into two parts. The road between the streets is completely flooded," complains one of the locals. And again, the flood is to blame, which also flooded the communication between the streets. Depth of centimeters 50-60. Not accessible by bike or car. True, the elements made the villagers even closer. Evidence of this is the path around the yards and gardens.

Another topic shortly before Radunitsa is the condition of the cemetery. Their headman is respectfully called the mayor. Also, all actions are coordinated with him, and therefore they count on help: "They told us that they would be able to, they will do everything."

"Thank you very much human, with the upcoming bright holiday!" - the villagers hurry about their business, saying goodbye.

And Natalya Viktorovna invites you to look at her farmstead. She herself has been living in Gomel for many years, and her parents' house is here. Having gone on a well-deserved rest, he often stays here. Her house is the first from the alley on the street, and therefore she felt all the generosity of nature. “During these days, everything was in the water, points to the stick-mark. And now raspberries are in the water, strawberries, winter onions and garlic, green feathers are sticking out that have survived. the water has already receded," the woman shares her experiences.

However, she is not used to such turns. Since childhood, such vivid memories of floods have remained in my memory. Almost every year the temper of the obstinate flood was tamed.

“I remember that in 1970 there was a lot of water. My parents left me here alone on the farm, they themselves were at work. Then there was even water behind the house. We all swam here. to her on the street. And when I went to school, almost every year the water was the same as it is now. And we sailed on a boat: 8 girls, and the boys separately. We went to the oars. Such calluses on our hands later. And once almost drowned. There were a lot of us in the village, just a little bit from the side to the water, and the waves were big. The wind disperses. But everything worked out. But somehow it got into the bushes with waves, so they barely rowed out. We were even late for the first lesson. Then they joked about us : children hares-Mazais wander to school," the woman laughs. At parting - only warm wishes.

On the way back, Sergey Silkin sums up: "There are no difficulties - the depths are now everywhere sufficient for the passage of boat-motor transport. The route is somewhat winding. By the way, there are several of them. We have reconnoitered and are ready to act depending on the situation, suddenly someone needs emergency help or medical. We know the layout of the settlement and can drive up from different directions. "

OSVOD employees make about 6 flights per day. In addition to helping with delivery, they are constantly monitoring the situation. "Did you see an overturned boat at the entrance to the village? It is one of the locals, it has been lying there for a long time. In another situation, they would not have passed by, because this is a sign of a possible disaster. We are trying to prevent such situations. It is more important to prevent a tragedy," summarizes Sergey Silkin, planning the schedule of the next trips.
