December 10, Minsk. The government has adjusted the list of socially significant goods, the prices of which are regulated by the state. This is stipulated by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 713 of December 10, 2021, BelTA learned from the press service of the government.

Earlier, the Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 100 of February 23, 2021 "On temporary measures to stabilize prices for socially significant essential goods" was adopted. New Decree No. 713 corrects the list of such goods, the prices of which are regulated by the state. From December 15, 2021, strict price regulation will apply to 29 items of socially significant goods, as well as 50 items of medicines. The NWT list includes flour, pearl barley, bread, beef, pork, chickens, milk , kefir, sour cream, cottage cheese, some fruits and vegetables, sugar and other goods.

From December 15, 2021, the monthly change in prices for socially significant essential goods cannot exceed 0.9% in December 2021 - February 2022, and 0.3% in March - December 2022 to the price prevailing on the last day of the previous month. In the absence of goods on this date - on the date of the previous sale or to the price of goods of the same variety and packaging. Such limits are formed taking into account the average increase in prices for a socially significant group of goods in these months of previous years and are due to the limitation of consumer price growth at the level of 6% in 2022.

Prices for socially significant essential goods that were not produced (imported) in Belarus before January 1, 2022, are set by legal entities and individual entrepreneurs engaged in their production (import) and sale on the domestic market, in agreement with the Commission on State Regulation pricing under the Council of Ministers.

The resolution does not apply to relations related to the sale of socially significant essential goods at exchange auctions and within the framework of public procurement.
