
May 25, MINSK. The task of the government is to maintain all social standards, despite the sanctions . This was stated by First Deputy Prime Minister Nikolai Snopkov of the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic, BelTA has learned.
"On behalf of the President, the main task of the government is to maintain and ensure all social standards for the development of our state and social projects that determine the level of well-being and comfort of life. Despite the fact that the new sanctions that have been applied to our country are of an unprecedented scale, by and large suffocating nature. The final plan of the West is to strike at the standard of living of our people, cause their discontent, social tension through the weakening of the potential of key industries and sectors of the economy," said Nikolai Snopkov.
According to him, the aviation industry was the first to take a hit last year, followed by bans on potash and oil refining. Restrictions were imposed on specific businesses and individuals. "Five packages of sanctions have already been adopted, and the sixth is on the way," the First Deputy Prime Minister said.
