June 7, MINSK. Despite difficult external circumstances, Belarus and RUSSIA have huge economic potential. This was stated by the Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Vladimir Semashko during the International Specialized Exhibition Belagro-2022, BelTA has learned.

"Despite the difficult external circumstances due to sanctions, we saw the huge economic potential of both Russia and Belarus. The presidents of our countries signed union programs. These programs, among other things, spell out the creation and development of a common economic platform related to the supply of oil , oil products , gas, transport and other goods. We also strive for a unified agricultural and industrial policy," the ambassador said.

Speaking about the exhibition, he noted that Belagro presented both domestic equipment and equipment from friendly countries. “Today we are summing up the results of the work over the past 20 years. We began to produce more grain, MILK and MEAT. We solved food security issues, and also provided our country with agricultural machinery. Belarusian machinery has shown its competitiveness. But, despite all our successes, we never need to stop there," the ambassador stressed.

The international specialized exhibition "Belagro-2022" is being held on June 7-11 in the Chinese-Belarusian industrial park "Great Stone". The Agrarian Forum traditionally gathers not only Belarusian farmers and workers in the food and processing industry, but also their foreign colleagues and partners. This year more than 400 companies from different countries, including Belarus, CHINA , Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and others take part in the exhibition. A large number of participants are planned from Russia - more than 30 regions.

Collective expositions were formed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, the Ministry of Industry, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the concern "Belgospischeprom", Belcoopsoyuz.

Belagro will also become a platform for business negotiations. The program of the exhibition included B2B meetings, round tables, conferences, demonstrations and competitions.
