Draft Law on the regulation of relations between food suppliers and trade - under consideration by the committees of the VR

On October 4, the draft Law “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Regarding Strengthening Protection against Unfair Competition” No. 6068-3 was submitted to the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development. – PioneerProduct

The bill will also be considered by the Committees on Agrarian and Land Policy, Budget, Anti-Corruption Policy and Ukraine's Integration into the European Union.

The bill provides for the implementation of the provisions of Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council 2019/633 of April 17, 2019 “On unfair trade practices between enterprises in the field of agriculture and food” into Ukrainian legislation.

For dairy enterprises, the definition of deadlines for deferring payment for products received, as well as restrictions on the total volume of all payments by a food supplier in favor of retail chains, proposed by the bill, is very important.

The adoption of the draft law will contribute to the development of trade activities, as well as create the basis for the formation of a European system for the sale of food products.
