10 dairy complexes in each region are planned to be commissioned in two years

December 21, Minsk. Belarus plans to commission 10 dairy complexes in each region over the next two years, Deputy Prime Minister Leonid Zayats said at a joint meeting of the chambers of the Belarusian parliament, BelTA has learned.

According to him, in order to continue work on the modernization of dairy cattle breeding for 2023-2024, it is planned to build 10 dairy complexes in each region. "The projects will be financed at the expense of Belagroprombank's preferential credit resources. The corresponding draft presidential decree has been prepared," Leonid Zayats said.

Moreover, every year, within the framework of the state program "Agrarian Business 2021-2025", about 50 dairy complexes and farms are built annually in the regions at the expense of the organizations' own funds, as well as preferential credit resources, the Deputy Prime Minister noted.

"A significant reserve for increasing the volume of milk production is the staffing of new dairy farms and complexes commissioned as of June 1 of this year. In total, 18,000 cows need to be completed, which will give an increase of about 130,000 tons of milk per year," he added. Leonid Zayats.
