Low-quality processed cheese seized from an entrepreneur in Bobruisk

February 14, Mogilev. In Bobruisk, low-quality processed cheese was withdrawn from sale from an individual entrepreneur. This was reported to BelTA in the Mogilev regional inspection of the State Standard.

During an inspection of a trading facility of one of the entrepreneurs, sausage smoked processed cheese was found for sale - a milk-containing product with a Russian-made MILK fat substitute. According to the results of the research, the specialists found that the products do not meet the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union TR TS 021/2011 "On food safety", TR TS 033/2013 "On the safety of milk and dairy products", TR TS 022/2011 "Food products in part of its labeling": the name of the product, indicated in the labeling, misleads consumers and unreliably characterizes it.

“The mass fraction of milk fat from the total fat content was slightly more than 34%, which indicates the replacement of milk fat in the amount of almost 66% of the fat phase with a milk fat substitute, while the norm is not more than 50%,” experts noted. “This fact is not allows to identify the product as a milk-containing product with a milk fat substitute, misleads the consumer about the type of food product, to which the manufacturer deliberately gave the appearance and certain properties of the product indicated in the labeling.

Gosstandart banned the import and circulation of this product in the country.
