Lukashenka to get acquainted with the situation in the dairy industry and visit a factory in Minsk

August 12, MINSK. President of Belarus ALEXANDER LUKASHENKO will visit Minsk Dairy Plant No. 1, the managing company of the First Dairy holding, BelTA informs.

The HEAD of state will be informed about the work of the enterprise, the development of the dairy industry in Belarus. The President will get acquainted with the technology of production of whole MILK products.

The holding includes five production sites located in Minsk, Molodechno, Volozhin, Vileika and Myadel districts, agricultural production branches "Drichin" of Pukhovichi district and "New Zelenki" of Cherven district, agricultural enterprise JSC "Novaya Lubaniya", commercial unitary enterprise "City Dairy plant number 1".

The main activity of the holding is the processing of milk into cheeses, butter, whole milk products and dry dairy products. The range of manufactured products includes more than 250 items.

The dairy industry of the republic is one of the most priority areas in the development of both the agro-industrial complex of the country and the national economy as a whole. Belarus is among the top five exporters, ranking third in the EXPORT of butter, condensed milk, whey, fourth in the export of cheese, and fifth in skimmed milk powder. The needs of the country's population are fully met by domestically produced products.

As BelTA reported, on August 9, Alexander Lukashenko asked the Council of Ministers for information about the shortage of certain types of goods on the market. Minister of Agriculture and Food Igor Brylo admitted that there is a certain problem with the packaging of tetra-packs and that this segment has not yet been fully replaced.

In this regard, the President noted that people should get the product they are used to, albeit in a different package: “They don’t eat tetra-pack. People eat what’s in tetra-pack. So you go out and say: “Good people, yes, as long as we have a problem with this tetrapack, please buy the same product, only it will be in packages. "Igor Brylo explained in response that the production lines need to be rebuilt. "So the war goes on. Rebuild in a day, in a night!" the head of state urgently demanded.

The minister assured that everything possible will be done, the volume of milk in retail chains.

Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko, in turn, that in addition to the issue of packaging, there is also such a moment that part of the products is now actively exported, which is beneficial for enterprises. Therefore, at present, the situation of filling the domestic market for full demand is controlled by administrative means. This is especially true for Minsk, which does not have its own resource zones.

In this regard, Alexander Lukashenko noted that the state has invested a lot of money in the agro-industrial complex, enterprises have cost advantages in a number of areas, and therefore, against the backdrop of state support, issues of ensuring the domestic market should be among the priorities.
