June 7, Smolevichi district. Belarusian agricultural machinery is in demand, so it is necessary to increase production volumes, Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly Natalia Kochanova said in a conversation with journalists after visiting the XXXIII International Specialized Exhibition Belagro, BelTA has learned.

"Our enterprises need to increase production volumes, because today our equipment is in demand both on the domestic market and in other countries. We looked at Gomselmash combines, MAZ, MTZ equipment. I saw new types of equipment. Enterprises do not stand still, they develop , produce new products that the consumer needs today," said Natalia Kochanova.

The speaker recalled the task set by the head of state - to increase the production of those machinery and equipment that are in demand and well implemented. And Belarusian enterprises must fulfill this task, she noted.

The Chairman of the Council of the Republic stressed the importance of the Belagro exhibition. “Here you can see clearly, in a concentrated form, everything that is produced by our enterprises. The exhibition is wonderful,” the speaker emphasized. “It is very important that all enterprises work, our equipment and food products, which have become brands, are in demand .

According to Natalia Kochanova, on the first day the exhibition was visited by a large number of people - 17 thousand. It is noteworthy that these are not only those who came here in connection with their professional activities, in particular, to conclude agreements and contracts. Ordinary Belarusians are interested in the exhibition, who want to see already produced food products and novelties from Belarusian enterprises that Belarus is proud of .

The speaker said that she had long wanted to look at the breeding breeds of domestic animals that ensure the food security of the country. "The President of the country has always said: there should be their own breeding breeds in order to increase both the number of livestock and the production of milk , meat and dairy products," she said.

“No sanctions are terrible when we ourselves can produce everything that is needed for the country, the people and for those countries with which we are friends and cooperate and which are ready for constructive interaction with our country,” Natalia Kochanova emphasized.

Now Belarus is preparing for the Forum of Regions, reminded the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic. It is important that the exhibition "Belagro" was visited, in particular, by the Minister of Agriculture of Bashkortostan (the Forum of Regions will be held in Ufa this year), Russian governors. At the same time, the speaker continued, she was visited by representatives of other countries, including the former Soviet Union, African states.

Speaking about the location where the exhibition is being held, the Chairman of the Council of the Republic drew attention to the good, comfortable pavilions of the exhibition center of the China-Belarus Industrial Park "Great Stone". If the equipment can be exhibited on the street, then it is better to taste the products in such pavilions: bad weather will not be terrible, the speaker drew attention.

The international specialized exhibition "Belagro-2023" takes place from 6 to 11 June. At the exhibition, you can get acquainted with the advanced trends in the development of crop production, animal husbandry and poultry farming, modern technologies for processing, packaging and storage of products, as well as a variety of agricultural machinery. The Agrarian Forum traditionally brings together not only Belarusian farmers and workers in the food and processing industry, but also their foreign colleagues and partners. This year 450 companies from Belarus, Russia, China , Pakistan, Turkey, Vietnam, Germany, Italy, India, Palestine take part in the exhibition. The business program includes about 20 thematic conferences and seminars.
