June 14, Volkovysk. Volkovysk-based Bellakt OJSC plans to expand its
export reach to 15 countries through a new production facility. This was announced to journalists by the company's general
director , Vitaly Lupik, according to a BELTA correspondent. "Our current capacity does not allow for an increase in processing volumes. Over the past year, we have been thinking about how to process
milk in the coming years, how to process
it and sell it at the highest possible margin. Our specialty is baby
food . Accordingly, we plan to build a plant that will produce
" Baby food is twice as much," said Vitaly Lupik.
Bellakt currently produces 7,000 tons of baby food annually, and with the launch of the new facility, capacity will increase to 15,000 tons per year.
"Plus, our export reach will expand by 15 countries. We currently sell baby food to 11 countries. We are also working on certification for seven additional countries, and are working on developing a plan for 15 more," stated the company's
director. "There is a demand. There has always been, and will always be, demand for baby food."
During his visit to Bellakt, Belarusian President
Alexander Lukashenko was briefed on plans to build an additional dry baby food production facility. These
products are in high demand not only in Belarus but also abroad.
"When visiting a promising facility, the
head of state thinks strategically for the entire country and the entire industry. Therefore, he emphasized that he was visiting a facility that produces high-margin products that are sold at very high profit margins. There are many cheese factories, many butter factories, but we have only one such facility for baby food. Its extensive tactical modernization, which was carried out this year, will allow it to expand into several countries around the world. And this is just new packaging," noted Yuri Karaev, Chairman of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee. The new facility will be built according to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards. This is an international standard that sets
requirements for production and quality control at various enterprises.
According to Yuri Karaev, this will help resolve the issue of
milk oversupply and allow the company to gain a foothold in Latin America, Africa, and Asia.
"The head of state sees this as the future and that it should have been done yesterday. Therefore, we immediately attempted to address any potential construction issues and obtain approval. We also addressed the funding structure. The president pointed out that all of this is public
funding , regardless of its source. It will all need to be worked for, recouped, and repaid," the regional executive committee chairman said.
