The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Moscow Region reports a fire that occurred in the village of Tuchkovo near Ruza. Last night, at 17.57, the central control panel of the service received a message about a fire in the workshop of the research and production association Slava.
When the first squad of firefighters arrived at the scene, the shop was filled with smoke, but the flames did not threaten neighboring buildings. 33 pieces of equipment and 121 people were involved in extinguishing the fire.
The situation was complicated by the fact that NPO Slava is a supplier of packaging materials, so there were combustible polymers inside the production building. At 21.15, a group of gas rescue operations was sent to Tuchkovo to measure the maximum permissible concentrations of harmful substances in the atmosphere. Five measurements did not reveal the presence of toxic gases in the air.
At 23.27, a fire train arrived from the Bekasovo station, but the fight against the fire continued for another five hours. The fire was extinguished by morning. There is no information about the victims and injured yet. The Ministry of Emergency Situations urges the local population to remain calm and not to panic.
NPO Slava, founded in April 2004, quickly became a leader in the industry. The company specializes in the development and production of packaging materials - from sausage casings to high-barrier films and bags.
