The survey found that in almost all districts of the region, burial sites are maintained properly and meet the requirements of veterinary legislation. They are fenced, people and animals are not allowed to enter the sites, signs and warning signs are installed. Only in three districts did officials find violations - a lack of fencing and warning signs. One anthrax burial site was flooded.

Information about the violations identified has been forwarded to local administrations, who have been asked to eliminate the shortcomings. For its part, the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR Administration will re-check the condition of the cattle burial grounds.

Reference: Anthrax is a particularly dangerous infectious disease of farm and wild animals of all kinds, the disease is also dangerous for humans. The disease progresses rapidly. Sheep, cattle , and pigs suffer and die from it. Anthrax spores are extremely stable: after 5-10 minutes of boiling, they all retain the ability to vegetate. Anthrax microbes can survive in the soil for up to 100 years.
