Production growth was observed across all market participant categories: agricultural enterprises, farms, and individual entrepreneurs made a significant contribution, producing 2,000 tons of MEAT and increasing their output by 9.5%. This demonstrates the increased efficiency of the agricultural sector and the role of small and medium-sized enterprises in ensuring food security in the region.
Private household plots accounted for the largest share of total production, producing 6,200 tons of meat, or 75.6% of the total. This underscores the importance of households in the agricultural economy of North Ossetia, where many residents raise livestock and poultry for their own use and for sale at local markets.
The achievements in increasing meat production were made possible by the implementation of the national project "Technological Support for Food Security," which aims to modernize agriculture, introduce new technologies, and improve the conditions for agribusiness. Minister of Agriculture of the Republic Alan Kusrayev noted that every producer, regardless of farm size, contributes to ensuring food security for both the region and the entire country.
Despite the positive results, North Ossetia's agricultural sector faces a number of challenges, including the need to improve product quality and meet modern standards, improve infrastructure for meat storage and processing, and actively attract investment in agriculture . These measures will help ensure the sustainable development of the agricultural sector and increase production volumes in the future.
