RSHB issued 2 billion rubles to Cherkizovo Group under the program of concessional lending to strategic enterprises of the agro-industrial complex

In accordance with Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 375 dated March 16, 2022, the recipient of the loan was a client of the Penza regional branch of the Russian Agricultural Bank.

PJSC Cherkizovo Group (hereinafter referred to as the "Group") is one of Russia's largest producers of MEAT products. The Group's production facilities are located primarily in the Central Federal District and include 9 meat processing plants, 9 feed mills, own pig farms, 11 poultry complexes, 9 feed mills, 12 elevators and about 300,000 hectares of agricultural land.

The loan was received by one of the Group's meat processing enterprises. 

Rosselkhozbank has previously concluded a number of deals under the program. 

In the spring, the RSHB announced the signing of an agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture on a program of concessional lending to backbone enterprises of the agro-industrial complex.

Borrowers can be backbone enterprises and/or their subsidiaries from the list approved by the Government Commission on Improving the Sustainability of the Russian Economy.

In accordance with the terms of the program, large enterprises can receive a loan of up to 7 billion rubles for operating activities at a rate of no more than 10% per annum. 

The loan is granted for a period of not more than 12 months and can be directed, for example, to purchase fuels and lubricants, mineral fertilizers, agricultural raw materials for further processing, etc.
