Rosselkhoznadzor made a decision to ban the transit of almost 140 head of breeding pigs from Denmark through the territory of the Omsk region

These products and animals were transported in violation of veterinary and sanitary rules established when moving between member states of the Eurasian Economic Union.

For example, on April 22, specialists from the Office of ROSSELKHOZNADZOR for the Omsk Region at the Cherlaksky PPU inspected a car in which 137 farm animals (breeding pigs) were transported along the route: Denmark - Poland - the Republic of Belarus - the Russian Federation - the Republic of Kazakhstan .

The vehicle was inspected and the documents provided by the carrier, a citizen of the Republic of Belarus, were analyzed.

it has been established that Landrace and Duroc pigs are transported accompanied by veterinary certificates required for movement across the border. The sender of the animals is the company DanBred P/S (Denmark - Denmark, Borupvang 5D, 2750 Ballerup), the recipient is the Karaoy Livestock Complex LLP (Kazakhstan, Ili district, Karaoy village, Zhanalyk st., 90A).

However, according to the Directive of Rosselkhoznadzor dated September 29, 2023 No. FS-SA-7/23806, temporary restrictions have been introduced on the import and transit of pig products, pigs and animal feed into the Republic of Kazakhstan from the territory of the Russian Federation.

The movement of cargo across the state border is prohibited, a decision was made to detain breeding pigs, and the animals were returned to the territory of the Russian Federation. Specialists of the Rosselkhoznadzor Office for the Omsk Region drew up a violation report regarding this fact.
