An enterprise from the Chelyabinsk region used chicken instead of beef in canned food

In March, samples were taken at the enterprise OOO Agrotorg Troitsk (Troitsk, Chelyabinsk region) of the products “Canned meat lumps in their own juice, sterilized. Stewed beef of the highest grade, 338 GOST 32125-2013. The Chelyabinsk testing laboratory found in them species-specific chicken DNA, not declared by the manufacturer on the label.

For unreliable declaration, the Chelyabinsk manufacturer, by order of the Rosselkhoznadzor , terminated the declaration and the EAC conformity certificate for these canned meats.

This is not the first time the company has committed such a falsification. It has been under enhanced laboratory control since July 2020, when samples were taken as part of the state work to ensure food safety and similar violations were found in the laboratory.

Now Agrotorg Troitsk LLC will be brought to administrative responsibility for false declaration under Article 14.44 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.
