The government expanded the program of concessional lending for the purchase of priority imported products

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on expanding the list of priority imported products, for the purchase of which importers can take a soft loan. The solution will help enterprises reduce operating costs and arrange the supply of all necessary goods. This was reported on the website of the Cabinet.

"The updated list includes nuts, coffee, cocoa beans, jams, fruit puree, canned fruits, powdered MILK formulas for baby food, additional names of medicines and certain types of agricultural equipment," the report says.

A special program of concessional lending for purchases of priority imported products was launched in May. With its help, importers can borrow at a rate of no more than 30% of the key rate of the Central Bank plus three percentage points. Now it is about 5.8%. The difference is compensated to banks by subsidies from the federal budget. The Government has already allocated more than 37 billion rubles for these purposes.

The period for which importers can obtain such resources depends on the purpose of the loan. For the purchase of raw materials and components, the preferential rate will be valid for one year. For equipment and means of production - three years.
