New rules in poultry farming: changes coming into force from March 1, 2025

Fisheries inspectors will be able to work in a permanent raid mode to increase control over compliance with fish farming standards and the conservation of water resources. Also, from March 1, 2025, producers using processed livestock by-products will be exempt from registration requirements as agrochemicals, if no chemical additives are used.

In addition, a new rule on prescription dispensing of veterinary drugs comes into force: antibiotics and anesthetics for animals can now be obtained only by prescription, which, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, will improve control over their use. Finally, the FGIS Argus-Phyto system will be combined with other platforms, which will simplify access to data on phytosanitary certificates and the level of phytosanitary risk, using a single platform through Gosuslugi.
