Experts calculated the cost of preparing one serving of pelmeni in major cities of the Urals Federal District, taking into account the average prices of key ingredients: meat (pork, lamb, and beef ), onions, garlic, flour, vegetable oil , and spices. On average, a homemade serving of pelmeni in the region costs 127.3 rubles. Tyumen turned out to be the cheapest city for pelmeni, where a serving costs 113.7 rubles.

Kurgan, Chelyabinsk, and Magnitogorsk also ranked among the cities with the most affordable pelmeni. The highest prices are found in Surgut, at 138.14 rubles per serving, as well as in Nizhny Tagil and Yekaterinburg, where a serving costs 134 rubles.
