According to NielsenIQ estimates, in RUSSIA in 2022, the turnover of network retail trade in sausage products increased by 12% to 372.4 billion rubles. The share of products of the Cherkizovo Group amounted to 6.8%, which provided the company with the third place among Russian sausage producers. Last year, the Group retained its leadership in the categories of raw smoked sausages with a share of 21.7% and hams - 26.1%. 

The sales of sausage products in Russia showed the most impressive results in the e-commerce channel: there their growth in 2022 amounted to 58.9%, to 7.9 billion rubles. Sausage products of Cherkizovo Group in the fourth quarter of 2022 came out on top in online sales with a share of 12% in value terms. In December, this share increased to 12.5%, which is 0.6 p.p. more than the nearest competitor.

“Although e-commerce still accounts for a small share of food sales, this channel has good prospects for further growth. Russians increasingly prefer to buy food on the Internet, seeing the convenience of existing delivery services, which can significantly save time. Therefore, for us, increasing the presence of products in online trade is a priority,” comments Irina Kim, Marketing DIRECTOR (ready meals category) of Cherkizovo Trade House.
