Results of 2020 and development prospects until 2023", analyzed the development of the industry and the performance of hundreds of companies in the agro-industrial complex. As a result of this work, the "Rating of the TOP-10 agricultural holdings of Russia" in terms of revenue and detailed business information on companies were prepared.

At the end of 2020, the Rusagro Group of Companies remains the largest agricultural holding in Russia, as INFOLine experts predicted. GC "Rusagro" showed an increase in revenue by 15% to 159 billion rubles. According to the review, in 2020 Rusagro showed the best financial results in the history of the company, the company's net profit amounted to 24.3 billion rubles, demonstrating an increase of 150%. Adjusted EBITDA margin reached 20%. The oil and fat segment of the company showed a 22% increase in revenue.
Second place in the ranking was taken by ABH Miratorg, whose revenue[1] increased by 16.9% to 139.2 billion rubles. The company's profit grew by 24.4% to 28 billion rubles. The growth of the company's revenue was ensured, among other things, by the recovery of MEAT imports (+37% compared to 2019), which accounted for 22% of the holding's revenue. it should be noted that the IFRS financial statements do not include Bryansk Meat Company, whose revenue grew to 40 billion rubles at the end of the year. (+33.3%), however, the company's loss amounted to 58 million rubles. against 3 billion rubles. net profit in 2019. According to INFOLine, in 2020 ABH Miratorg completed the implementation of several large-scale investment projects, which will allow the company to significantly increase production and revenue in subsequent years.
GC "Cherkizovo", which increased its revenue by 7% to 128.8 billion rubles, took 3rd place. The increase in the company's revenue was facilitated by a steady domestic demand for the company's products, growing EXPORT shipments, primarily to the markets of Southeast Asia and the CIS countries. Thus, the company's exports increased by 74% compared to 2019, and its share in the company's revenue for the year increased to 8%.
The fastest growing holding was GAP Resurs, which moved up from 7th to 5th place in the rating. The company's revenue grew by 34% due to the increase in production (including vegetable oil to 183 thousand tons), M&A transactions and active exports of poultry meat and butter.
In general, the average revenue growth rate of the TOP-10 agricultural holdings was 13%: the leaders traditionally grow much faster than the market (+1.5%).
According to INFOLine experts, the key trend in the development of companies in the agro-industrial complex remains active work to build competencies in the production of final food products, i.e. vertical integration strategy, M&A activity, as well as the implementation of investment projects and the realization of the export potential of Russian products.
