FOM: more than 40% of Russians see a rise in prices for meat and vegetables

More than a third of Russians are seeing an increase in prices for bakery products and eggs, more than 40% - for MEAT, poultry and dairy products, follows from the results of a survey by the Public Opinion Foundation (FOM).

When asked what main products, goods and services prices have increased significantly over the past month, 38% of respondents answered that for bread and bakery products (against 33% a week earlier), 71% of respondents believe that for SUGAR (against 76% for previous week's results). 45% of Russians observe an increase in prices for meat and poultry (against 38% a week earlier), 43% - for MILK and dairy products (against 37% a week earlier), 39% - for eggs (against 34% a week earlier).

Also, 42% said that vegetable oil has risen in price, 40% of respondents said that fruit and vegetable products have become more expensive (against 35% a week earlier), 35% believe that fish and seafood have risen in price (against 30% according to the survey results last week). Of other food products, 42% of survey participants reported that cereals and pasta had risen in price, every fifth respondent (20%) answered that ALCOHOL had risen in price .

For household goods, a third of Russians (34% and 33%) noticed an increase in prices for detergents and personal care products. For non-food products, one in three sees an increase in prices for clothing and footwear (29% versus 25% a week earlier), for household appliances and electronics (32%), for building materials (34% versus 30% a week earlier). Every fifth Russian (21%) noticed an increase in the price of gasoline, 42% noted an increase in prices for medicines (against 40% in the previous week).

The Ministry of Industry and Trade recorded a decrease in food prices

The FOMnibus survey was conducted on April 8-10 in 53 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, 104 settlements among 1.5 thousand respondents.
