January 26, Vitebsk. A resident of Novopolotsk is suspected of especially malicious hooliganism in a nightclub. This was reported to a BelTA correspondent in the information and public relations department of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

The incident took place at 4:10 am on January 14 in a nightclub in Novopolotsk. A drunk visitor came into conflict with another person, while a 37-year-old woman was injured. Novopolochanka was taken to the hospital with a head wound. The fact is that the arguing man hit the other with a beer bottle. From the impact, the vessel shattered into fragments, one of which hit the woman's head. The victim felt pain, got scared and fainted. Between themselves, the participants in the conflict, as well as with the woman, were not familiar.

A drunken resident of Novopolotsk fled the scene. Later, he tried to return and was detained - by that time, law enforcement officers were already searching. The suspect turned out to be a 28-year-old assembler of a local JSC. He explained his outburst of rage with alcohol intoxication - at the time of his arrest, there were almost 1 ppm in his blood.

Previously, the man had never been involved in illegal actions and did not come to the attention of the police.

Novopolochanin became a defendant in a criminal case under part 3 of article 339 of the Criminal Code. For particularly malicious hooliganism, he can be imprisoned for up to 10 years.
