A man drowned in the Dubrovensky district: investigators are checking

June 28, Vitebsk. The Investigative Committee is conducting an investigation into the death of a man in a pond in the Dubrovensky district. Oksana Lazko, official representative of USC in the Vitebsk region, told a BelTA correspondent about this.

According to the investigation, on June 26, a company of four people drank ALCOHOL 50 meters from a swampy reservoir in the Dubrovensky district. When everyone was about to go home, a 50-year-old man offered to swim. Hearing a refusal from his friends, he went swimming alone and drowned. On the morning of the next day, the body of a local resident without signs of life was removed from the water by employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Investigators, with the involvement of specialists from the UGKSE in the Vitebsk region, conducted an inspection of the scene, interviewed eyewitnesses and relatives of the deceased. A forensic medical examination has been ordered to determine the exact cause of the man's death.

On this fact, the Dubrovensky district department of the Investigative Committee is conducting an investigation. All the circumstances of the incident are established.

The Investigative Committee reminds that in order to save one's own life, it is important to adhere to the rules of water safety. You can not swim in prohibited places, go into the water while intoxicated , you should not dive in an unfamiliar place.
