January 23, Mogilev. Investigators have revealed the details of a terrible accident with the death of three young girls in the Chausy district. BelTA was informed about this by Tatyana Starosotnikova, official representative of the USC in the Mogilev region.

The investigation found that on November 29, at about 3.00 am, an Audi car driven by a 25-year-old girl was moving along the bypass road of the city of Chausy (Mogilev-Cherikov-Kostyukovichi highway). Driving through an intersection at the entrance to the city, the driver lost control of the car due to speeding. The foreign car slid into a ditch, crashed into roadside trees and caught fire from the impact. As a result of the accident, the driver and her passengers, aged 19 and 24, died on the spot. The 22-year-old passenger, who was in the back seat, was thrown out of the car. She was taken to the hospital with injuries.

Investigators established the chronology of what happened, including the events that took place on the eve of the tragic trip. So, in the evening the girls gathered at the house of a 25-year-old resident of Chaus. As it turned out later, the girls did not have a special reason for drinking alcohol. The home feast seemed boring to them and the company went out into the street. The girls continued to drink in the fresh air, and then in a car parked near the house. After sitting in the car for about an hour and a half, the company drank all the alcohol, but this was not enough. The youngest of them remained sober, she called her friend and asked for help to take them for more to the nearest gas station. The guy promised to come as soon as possible. Without waiting for him only a few minutes, the drunken company left to meet a great tragedy.

At 2.42 an alarm call was received at the Chausy ROChS: a crying girl explained that the car in which she was with her friends was on fire and they could not get out of it, because all the doors were locked. To tell in detail where the place of the accident is located, the caller in a state of shock could not.

Emergencies Ministry squads quickly found a burning car in a ditch a few hundred meters from the city. There was another passenger near the car, who was thrown through the side glass from a strong blow.

Investigators interrogated witnesses, studied and attached to the materials of the criminal case the results of expert research. An inspection of the scene was carried out with the involvement of traffic police officers and specialists of the GKSE. A 22-year-old girl who survived a terrible accident continues treatment.

When studying the personality of a female driver, the investigators found that she had previously been brought to administrative responsibility for violating traffic rules. According to the results of a forensic examination, 2.5 ppm of alcohol was found in her blood. An autotechnical study showed that the driver was moving at a speed of almost 120 km / h.

The actions of the driver are qualified by the investigation under part 5 of article 317 (violation of the traffic rules by a person driving a vehicle while intoxicated , which negligently caused the death of two or more persons and infliction of grievous bodily harm) of the Criminal Code.

The Investigative Committee reminds: alcohol and the road are incompatible, because a drunk driver endangers not only his life, but also the safety of other people. Alcohol greatly increases the likelihood of an accident and the severity of the consequences. The fact remains: alcohol is the cause of ridiculous deaths.
