February 24, Minsk. The prosecutor's office of the Moskovsky district of Minsk demanded to eliminate violations during pre-trip and other medical examinations in relation to public transport drivers. This was reported to BelTA in the information service of the capital's department.

It was established that on January 4, 2023, at about 18.20 near house No. 3 on Ya. Bryl St. in the capital: a city bus driven by the driver of one of the branches of Minsktrans CUE crashed into a street lighting mast. As a result, the vehicle was damaged, including due to the ignition of the wheel tire, one of the passengers was injured. A street lighting tower and a trolleybus contact line were also damaged, which created obstacles to traffic.

The cause of this incident was the poor health of the bus driver and his loss of consciousness while driving. During the audit, the prosecutor's office found that during the pre-trip examination, the branch nurse limited herself to determining the concentration of alcohol vapor in the exhaled air. At the same time, she did not interview the driver about his state of health, did not measure his pulse and blood pressure.

A superficial pre-trip examination made it possible to make a premature decision on the driver's admission to work, became one of the reasons for his loss of consciousness and the creation of an emergency situation. Similar violations at the enterprise were allowed systematically.

The prosecutor of the Moskovsky district of the Minsk district submitted a submission to the head of the branch of the CTUE "Minsktrans", in which he demanded to eliminate violations of the law, as well as the causes and conditions that contributed to them. The situation with the conduct of pre-trip surveys in relation to drivers was taken under control in the prosecutor's office.
