December 7, MINSK. Today, in order to stay healthy, it is necessary to comprehensively use all possible resources. This opinion was expressed by Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko at a meeting of the interdepartmental council on promoting a healthy lifestyle, controlling non-communicable diseases, preventing and preventing drunkenness, ALCOHOLISM, drug addiction and consumption of raw tobacco and tobacco products under the Council of Ministers, BelTA has learned.
"Today, in order to stay healthy, it is really necessary to comprehensively use all possible resources, advanced achievements of science and practice, but most importantly, you need to have a firm inner conviction in the importance of a healthy lifestyle and strictly follow this principle every day," the Deputy Prime Minister noted. .
Igor Petrishenko recalled that in 2019 a full-scale start was given to the state preventive project "Healthy Cities and Towns" in Belarus. "The main goal of the project is to make the HEALTH of the population one of the priorities of the local development policy of the regions, to promote the development and implementation of a strategy for the health and sustainable development of administrative territories, the effective use of the available resource potential. Currently, many administrative - territorial units, there are some good examples of the organization of this work.At the same time, further promotion of the project and activities of the national network of healthy cities and towns should become an integral part of the ongoing regional policy,
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the most important component of creating healthy territories is ensuring the health of the employed population of working age.
"The health of workers is largely determined by the risks that are present directly at the workplace, so we should increasingly turn to solving this problem directly by employers, since these are precisely their tasks - through the creation of healthy working conditions, reducing the loss of working time due to illness of workers to ensure the growth of labor productivity and the success of the functioning of enterprises in general," Igor Petrishenko explained.Corporate health promotion programs are already gradually being introduced into the sphere of labor relations as an element of corporate culture and a tool for achieving concrete results in the personnel management system. “These are some kind of investment projects, the participants of which are the state, the employer and the employee. Taking into account the interests of all parties, corporate health promotion programs for employees are among the most effective in terms of investing in human capital, it is precisely such enterprises and organizations that are more successful, sustainable and competitive. In the Mogilev region, for example, the Healthy Enterprise project has already been implemented since 2019," the Deputy Prime Minister said.
Another topic that was touched upon at the council meeting was the consumption of psychoactive substances by minors. “At the interdepartmental level, a set of relevant measures has been approved and is being implemented aimed at preventing the consumption of psychotropic substances by adolescents. Certain positive results have been achieved. Thus, over the past five years, it has been possible to reduce the number of minors taken under medical supervision for the first time in connection with ALCOHOL consumption by 73.6% However, the situation remains alarming, there are certain points that we need to work on, and first of all, to improve the procedure for recording and preventing the use of psychotropic drugs among adolescents.
The Deputy Prime Minister drew attention to the fact that all these issues should be addressed comprehensively on the basis of close interdepartmental interaction and cooperation of all subjects of the prevention system.
