You can take a dip in an ice hole on Epiphany in 30 designated locations in the Mogilev region.

of Epiphany in Belarus . Many people, following tradition, are preparing to take a dip in an ice hole. To ensure safety, rescuers will be on duty at the designated swimming spots. In the Belynichi District, people can take a dip at the Glukhariny Tok estate in the village of Osliva; in Babruisk, at 74V Zarya Street, near Beach No. 2; and at Sadovaya Street, near the Neptune boat cooperative; and in the Babruisk District, a designated spot will be in the village of Turki.  People can take a dip in the ice hole in Glusk at the Lodochnaya Stantsiya recreation area; in Gorki, at Lake Orsha at 74V Zarya Street. In the Yakubovsky district, in the Dribinsky district - in the agro-town of Ryasno on the Gremyachaya spring, in the Kirovsky district - in the village of Patseva Sloboda in the "Krynichka" recreation area, in Klichev - along Krivonosa Street near the city bathhouse, in Kostyukovichi - along Zinkovicha Street on the lake in the "Borovets" recreation area, in the Klimovichsky district - in the village of Borisovichi. In Krichev, you can take a dip at the city beach of the Sozh River along Sirotinina Street and in the font of the Pokrovskaya Church at 12 Kosmonavtov Street. In the Krichevsky district - in the font in the village of Nizki.  In the Mstislavsky district - at the spring of the Pustynsky Holy Dormition Monastery, and in Mstislavl - at the "Kagalny Kolodets" spring along Lenina Street. In the Osipovichsky District, you can take a dip at the town beach of the Osipovichskoye Reservoir and in the baptismal font in the village of Smyk. In the Slavgorodsky District, you can take a dip at the Golubaya Krinitsa (Water Spring), in the Khotsimsky District, at the lake in the village of Bogdanovka, in Chaussky District, near the village of Novo-Egorovka in the "Baikovo" tract, and in the Kruglyansky District, at the baptismal font near the Teterinskaya Hydroelectric Power Station. In Cherikov, an organized baptismal font will be set up at the lake on Rokossovskogo Street. In the Bykhov District, everyone can take a dip in the baptismal font on the grounds of the Holy Ascension Convent in the agrotown of Borkolabovo. In the Shklov District, you can take a dip at the Trofimova Krinitsa (Water Spring), and in Shklov, at the baptismal font on the Serebryanka River and at the baptismal font on M. Zarechnaya Street. In Mogilev, ice-hole swimming areas will be set up at Pecherskoye and Svyatoye Lakes, and in the Mogilev District, a font will be located in the agro-town of Polykovichi.  Plunging into the ice hole should be done with extreme caution, as the temperature difference between your body and the cold water can cause cramps. To avoid putting your life at risk, never swim while in a state of shock.













Diving and swimming underwater, raising false alarms, gathering in groups on the ice at the edge of the ice hole, or going beyond the fences are prohibited while intoxicated. Children are only allowed to swim with parents or adult relatives. Children should be kept within arm's reach and under constant adult supervision. Staying in the water for a short time is not recommended—just a few seconds. Afterward, quickly dry off with a towel and put on dry, warm clothing. 
Experts advise against diving into the ice hole for people with severe chronic illnesses, for whom sudden temperature changes can be very dangerous.
