Minsk traffic police fined 55 reckless drivers over the weekend

February 19, MINSK . Over the past weekend, city traffic inspectors fined 55 motorists for speeding. BelTA was informed about this by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

Over the past weekend, 81 accidents occurred in Minsk. 15 drivers were detained for driving while intoxicated.

Over the weekend , traffic police stopped 45 cases of driving by unauthorized persons and 119 cases of traffic violations by taxi drivers.

During this period, traffic police inspectors also prosecuted 145 drivers for violating the rules for crossing pedestrian crossings and 63 for neglecting the requirements for using seat belts.

According to the traffic police, 378 pedestrians violated traffic rules, 23 of them were in a stateALCOHOL intoxication .

The State Traffic Inspectorate calls on road users to respect each other and reminds that strict adherence to traffic rules is the key to safety on the road.
