The car turned into a pile of metal: a serious accident occurred near Gomel  

March 27, Gomel. An accident with three victims occurred today in the Gomel region, BelTA was told in the department for agitation and propaganda of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee. 

The road accident occurred in the early morning of March 27 at the entrance to Gomel. "A 24-year-old driver, according to preliminary information, who was in a state of alcoholic intoxication and did not have a driver's license, drove an Opel Vectra car. Moving along Sovetskaya St. in the agricultural town of Eremino, Gomel District, he lost control of the car due to an incorrectly chosen speed, left the roadway, where he hit a lighting pole," the UGAI said. 

As a result of the accident, the driver, 16-year-old and 18-year-old passengers received injuries of varying severity. 

As specified, at the time of the accident, none of those present in the car was wearing a seat belt.
