Forage harvesting is in full swing in the Lipetsk region

The farms of the region continue to harvest grassy fodder - haylage and hay for cattle.
To date, 7.4 thousand hectares of perennial grasses have been mowed out of 17.1 thousand planned. 45.2 thousand tons of haylage and 1.2 thousand tons of hay have been harvested.
In addition, the farms of the region have leftovers from the 2021 harvest. At the beginning of this month, there were almost 6 thousand tons of hay, over 39 thousand tons of haylage, more than 15 thousand tons of straw, 98 thousand tons of silage, and 12.4 thousand tons of grain fodder.
“Already now we can say with confidence that this year all livestock farms in the region will be fully provided with succulent and roughage,” said Oleg Dolgikh, HEAD of the Lipetsk Region Agriculture Department.
