
The event was held at the Expocentre Fairgrounds in Moscow as part of the business program of the 28th international specialized exhibition for the bakery and confectionery market Modern Bakery Moscow - 2023.
Bakery No. 1 of Yaroslavl won the Big Cup for the production of Staroselsky bread, as well as the Small Cup of II degree for the production of Staroyaroslavsky and Yuzhny bread with sunflower seeds.
“Bakery No. 1 is an enterprise with a 95-year history, whose products are known far beyond the region,” said Valentina Shishina, Deputy Director of the Department of Agro-Industrial Complex and Consumer Market. “In the past year alone, 9.9 thousand tons of bread were produced here. The company does not stand still, develops new types of products and modernizes production. All this is aimed at solving the problem in terms of ensuring the country's food security.
In total, 41.5 thousand tons of bread and bakery products were produced in the Yaroslavl region in 2022.
To support food producers in the region, the number of fairs is increasing, trade and purchasing sessions are held with retail representatives, and a system of outbound trade is being organized.
Also, the expansion of markets for products of local producers is facilitated by the opening of new outlets within the framework of the regional project "Farmer's Corner". The first one began work in Yaroslavl in March, by the end of the year it is planned to create four more such facilities.
Along with the opening of farmer's corners, at the initiative of Governor Mikhail Evraev, a project is being implemented in the region to expand the representation of local agricultural products on store shelves and place price tags with the Yaroslavl Product logo. At the moment, more than a thousand outlets throughout the region have already joined it. Price tags with the Yaroslavl Product logo can be found in consumer cooperation stores and regional networks Atrus, Lotos, Our Quarter, Druzhba, as well as in the federal networks X5 Retail Group, Magnit, Lenta , "Globe", "Auchan" and "Attack", "Faithful".
