Valery Kholodov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Yaroslavl Region, visited the village of Prechistoye, Lyubimsky District, where a local zoo farm can become one of the most important objects of regional agritourism.
An open-air cage farm from the Lyubimsky district acquired a batch of one hundred purebred mouflons in Slovakia for breeding. The European mouflon is the only wild sheep in Europe. European wild mouflon survived only on the islands of Corsica and Sardinia, but it was widely settled in the southern regions of Europe. Mouflon is acclimatized in the Crimea. Inhabits open spaces with slightly rugged relief, gentle slopes of mountains.
Inna Averina, an individual entrepreneur, has been breeding and selling animals in the village of Prechistoye, Lyubimsky District, for seven years already and in her aviary farm they sell: European red deer, spotted deer, American white-tailed deer, European fallow deer. And now a European mouflon has appeared, which has not previously been bred in the Yaroslavl region. On average, the animal population of the pet farm is 300-400 animals. Now the entrepreneurs are planning to build a tourist complex and welcome tourists who are interested in seeing animals and relaxing in nature.
“The Acting Governor Mikhail Evraev has set the task of making agro-tourism one of the priority areas for the development of the agro-industrial complex, so that agro-tourism is systematically and on a large scale included in tourism objects and becomes another point of attraction and attraction of tourists to the region. Since 2022, a federal measure of state support has been introduced - a gratuitous grant, here and now, together with the leadership of the Lyubimsky district, the company's leaders have decided on the application procedure for receiving a grant for agritourism, ”said Valery Kholodov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Yaroslavl Region.
He believes that fragmentary elements of Andresen's fairy tale "The Snow Queen" will be used at this agrotourism facility. In 2-3 months, the project of the facility should be ready and will qualify for a grant. Agrotourism in the Yaroslavl region, according to Valery Kholodov, is a very promising direction, since Yaroslavl bears the title of the capital of the Golden Ring tourist route and the development of all types of tourism is a priority for the region.
