The regional exhibition “Field Day” was held in the Lipetsk region

The exhibition has already become a traditional agricultural festival, where one could see examples of modern equipment and technologies, as well as promising varieties and hybrids of agricultural crops. The event was attended by the Governor of the Lipetsk Region Igor Artamonov.
Guests of the exhibition were able to get acquainted with a large number of various agricultural machinery, mostly domestically produced. These are combines, tractors, cultivators, loaders, sprayers and much more.
At the Field Day this year, the Lipetsk State Variety Section presented about 1 thousand varieties and hybrids of agricultural crops, including:
105 varieties of winter crops and more than 500 varieties and hybrids of spring crops. And all this on 206 hectares. On the site one could see 35 varieties of barley, 22 varieties of spring wheat, 13 varieties of oats, 24 varieties of potatoes in a competitive trial, 45 hybrids of sugar beets, 118 varieties of sunflower, 44 hybrids for grain and 54 hybrids for corn silage. Also at the Lipetsk variety plot there are seed crops of higher reproductions, such as: “Fokur” peas , “Daria” spring wheat, “KVS” and “Jessie” spring barley, “Mezenka” soybeans. New varieties of winter soft wheat “Timiryazevskaya Yubileynaya”, “Fedor”, “Shkola” and “Batya” received special attention. They are frost- and drought-resistant, high-yielding (can produce 100 c/ha or more), resistant to lodging and diseases, and highly adaptable to cultivation in different soil and climatic conditions. These varieties were first presented at a regional Field Day last year. All of them have already been included in the State Register. Moreover, active sales of “Bati” seeds began this year, so this variety will soon be seen in industrial plantings.
As part of the agro-industrial exhibition, the governor awarded the best agricultural producers of the Lipetsk region. “Our farmers are our pride. The past year has been difficult for every sector, and agriculture is no exception. But anyone who visited a large agro-industrial exhibition today could see that we are provided with everything we need. We have equipment, seeds, fertilizers, and protective equipment. We harvest excellent harvests - 4 million tons of grain, and hold first place in the country in the production of greenhouse vegetables. But the most important thing is people who are not afraid of hard and sometimes exhausting work. Go out into the field at dawn and finish work after midnight. It’s very nice that we have entire family dynasties that feed our region and our country,” said Igor Artamonov.
