New cowsheds and a carousel milking parlor were put into operation in the Leningrad Region

The investment project is being implemented at the Krasnoozernoye breeding farm in the Priozersky District.
“The implementation of investment projects continues in the Leningrad Region. Our farms are commissioning capacities, the state continues to provide state support to enterprises. We are increasing milk production, expanding the output of dairy products, ensuring the country's food security,” said Oleg Malashchenko, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Leningrad Region, Chairman of the Committee for Agriculture and Fisheries.
The new premises with climate control, automatic feeding, watering and manure removal will include a maternity ward and a room for newborn calves. The new facilities will increase milk production and guarantee its high quality.
At the end of 2022, Krasnoozernoye increased milk production by 8%. The implementation of the investment project will allow the farm to increase the milking herd by 200 heads and achieve milk yields of over 12,000 kg per forage cow per year.
State support for the livestock industry from the regional budget in 2022 amounted to 1.3 billion rubles, the total state support for the agro-industrial complex - 5.3 billion rubles. Investment projects are being implemented by the breeding farms "Bugry", "Krasnogvardeisky", "Krasnoozernoye", "Gomontovo", Grazhdansky.
