Dairy production continues to increase in the region. In the first seven months of this year, Ivanovo enterprises produced over 7,000 tons of drinking MILK, a 2.1% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
In January-July, over 4,000 tons of cottage cheese were also produced (an increase of 13.4% compared to last year) and 1,600 tons of cheese (+17.4%).
The growth trend in dairy farming is driven by the construction of new dairy complexes and new raw material processing capabilities. Thus, four new dairy farms were commissioned in 2025 in the Ivanovo, Rodnikovsky, and Shuya districts, and eight more enterprises are building new livestock facilities. In the Rodnikovsky district, with support from the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, construction is underway on a livestock complex for 1,460 HEAD of cattle with a production capacity of 12,600 tons of milk per year—the largest investment project in the agro-industrial complex this year.
It's worth noting that, to support the industry, processors have access to preferential short-term and investment loans.
The launch of the RumelkoAgro-Moloko dairy plant earlier this year has contributed to the growth in production of certain dairy products. Currently, it produces seven types of products: milk with 3.2% and 2.5% fat content; kefir with 3.2%, 2.5%, and 1% fat content; and sour cream with 20% and 15% fat content. RumelkoAgro plans to launch a line of fruit yogurts soon. It also plans to begin producing cottage cheese.
