Epizootic situation on especially dangerous animal diseases in the world from October 2 to October 8, 2021

For the period from 2 to 8 October 2021, the World Organization for Animal HEALTH (OIE) received reports of the registration of 192 foci of especially dangerous animal diseases in 21 countries of the world. The corresponding notifications were published on the official website of the OIE.

Myanmar Veterinary Services have notified covid-19 for the first time . The disease was registered in a domestic dog. In addition, new cases of CORONAVIRUS infection have been reported in Spain (2 outbreaks) and Japan (1). The disease has been identified in fur farms in Galicia and in a companion dog in Tokyo.

New foci of African swine fever have been reported in Hungary (1), Germany (25), Latvia (3), Poland (17), Romania (81) and the Dominican Republic (10). The fight against classical swine fever in Japan continues (18).

Aujeszky's disease has been reported in France (1). The infection was detected in the New Aquitaine region, on a farm breeding wild boars intended for release into the wild for the purpose of hunting.

Cases of highly pathogenic avian influenza have been reported in Kazakhstan (1), Finland (4) and South Africa (3). The disease caused by the H5, H5N1 and H5N8 virus subtypes has been observed in farm birds and wild birds.

Foci of infectious nodular dermatitis were recorded in Nepal (5) and Thailand (3). Rabies has been identified by veterinarians in Malaysia (2) and Melilla (1). Rabbit hemorrhagic disease - in the usa (2). A case of West Nile fever in horses was reported by French authorities (1). Anthrax notified by Azerbaijan (1), Spain (8) and Ukraine (1)
