Delegation of the Republic of Belarus got acquainted with the production of dairy products in Chelyabinsk

During the visit to the Chelyabinsk Region, the delegation from the Republic of Belarus – heads of food and processing industry enterprises of the Gomel Region – visited the Chelyabinsk Dairy Plant – a branch of the Rosmol Group of Companies. The guests got acquainted with the technology of production and packaging of milk, sour cream, yogurt, and tasted dairy products. The purpose of the visit of the Belarusian delegation to the Chelyabinsk Region is to assess the prospects for further cooperation between friendly regions. Today, food products
are supplied from the Republic of Belarus to Russia, including the Chelyabinsk Region. In turn, the Chelyabinsk Region also sells a number of food products to Belarus. The development of cooperation meets the goals of the national project "International Cooperation and Export". Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Chelyabinsk Region Inna Podshivalova emphasized that the Chelyabinsk Region has long been interacting with Belarus, and a cooperation agreement has been concluded with the Gomel Region. "We sell pasta, cereals, flour, vegetable oil , sausages , and animal feed to the Republic of Belarus. There is an opportunity to grow our agricultural exports; this is a state task for us. Belarus ranks 7th among the countries that buy food from the Chelyabinsk region," says Inna Podshivalova. "This country is a member of the Customs Union, the Eurasian Economic Union, there are no barriers between us, no duties, no quotas, and therefore trade turnover can grow without hindrance. In turn, Belarusian companies are ready to offer dairy components, for example, for making ice cream, this will help reduce the costs of our processors for production and, as a result, the prices on the shelf for the end consumer. In the Chelyabinsk region, we are also developing dairy farming, so our producers are a priority as suppliers of raw milk, and the missing raw materials can be purchased from friendly countries." In the first four months of 2025, the export of food products from the Chelyabinsk region to Belarus increased by 77% compared to the same period last year. Dairy products are supplied from Belarus to the Chelyabinsk region. Cheeses , condensed milk , and fermented milk drinks are popular with the residents of the South Urals. And our friendly country plans to expand these supplies. As Vladimir Lutsky, General Director of the Belarusian JSC Rogachev Milk Canning Plant , said , it is planned to conclude an agreement with the Chelyabinsk region to increase the volume of food sales.

"Our plant produces a full range of dairy products and dry milk mixtures. The main type of product is canned milk, this is condensed milk. The production volume is up to 12 million cans per month," said Vladimir Lutsky. - We work with the Chelyabinsk region, we see huge potential, and our visit is associated with the development of this potential. We already sell cheese and butter to the Chelyabinsk region, canned milk, milk with a long shelf life. We see development in these areas. Our holding includes five plants, 2,200 people work, we process 1,700 tons of raw materials per day. Deliveries to 42 countries of the world, including regular deliveries to 27 countries. 75 percent of our exports are to the Russian Federation."
In addition, Belarus continues to supply agricultural machinery to Russia. In the Chelyabinsk region, more than half of the tractor fleet is made by the Minsk Tractor Plant. Deliveries of grain harvesters, forage harvesters and reapers manufactured by the Gomel agricultural machinery plant Gomselmash continue. Agricultural machinery from Belarus is covered by preferential agroleasing and preferential lending programs.
