Aerosila, ODK-Star and Delta-Aero were subject to EXPORT restrictions. According to the Ministry of Trade, they are connected with the Iranian aviation industry. RUSSIA considers sanctions illegal US Commerce Department building

The US Department of Commerce has imposed export restrictions against three companies from Russia, six from CHINA and two more from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), a notice of this was published on the Federal Register website.

The Russian research and production enterprise Aerosila (produces auxiliary power units, propellers, power converters for supersonic aircraft, etc.), Delta-Aero (according to RBC Company, is engaged in the repair and maintenance of aircraft) were included in the black list. devices) and UEC-Star (part of the United Engine Corporation Rostec, which produces fuel supply and control systems for gas turbine engines for air, land and sea applications).

According to the Ministry of Trade, these companies, together with the Chinese Shenzhen Jiasibo Technology Co. are participants in Iran’s “aerospace component procurement” network, including dual-use goods used in the production of Shahed drones. This activity, the department points out, is contrary to the interests of US national security. In September 2023, the American Ministry of Finance announced sanctions against Aerosila, Delta-Aero and ODK-Star for connections with Iran .

RBC sent inquiries to the companies Aerosila and Delta-Aero. ODK-Star declined to comment.

Another Chinese company is Jiangxi Xintuo Enterprise Co. Ltd, according to the Ministry of Commerce, “supports the Russian armed forces” through the purchase of drones.

UAE-based enterprises Khalaj Trading LLC and Mahdi Khalaj Amirhosseini fell under American restrictions because they violated US sanctions against Iran.

Last year, US officials, including Secretary of State Antony Blinken, suggested that China could supply Russia with weapons for use in the fighting in Ukraine . The White House said in November 2023 that there was no confirmation of this data. Beijing itself ruled out the transfer of weapons to both Russia and Ukraine. Since September 1, China has limited the supply of drones and equipment for the production of drones abroad in order to “protect national security and interests.”

Western states and Ukrainian authorities believe that Tehran supplied Russia with Shahed-type drones for use in Ukraine. Both Moscow and Tehran rejected this. In November 2022, Iran acknowledged supplying drones to Russia, but noted that it did so before the outbreak of hostilities.

Russia considers the sanctions of Western states illegal and ineffective and demands their lifting.
