The Kremlin did not rule out "violations of export-import chains" because of Minsk

In the event of the introduction of real restrictions on the transit of goods from Germany through the territory of Belarus, a violation of export-import chains is possible, said presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

“Certainly, violations of some export-import chains cannot be ruled out. This is a matter for very serious work to minimize the consequences of such decisions,” Peskov said.

This is how he commented on the threats made by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko . He stated that in response to European sectoral sanctions, Minsk may impose restrictions on the transit of goods from Germany to Russia and China .

At the same time, Lukashenka recalled that in the past, in response to sanctions, he had already limited the supply of products from Skoda and Nivea to the Belarusian market. “We told them: guys, thank you, goodbye. First, not a single step to the Belarusian market, and second: not a single step through Belarus,” the president explained.

“The same should be done with the Germans. Let them supply their products through Finland to China and Russia. Or through Ukraine - there are good roads - let them go and deliver there, ”Lukashenko threatened.
