The economic sanctions that were imposed by Western countries against RUSSIA because of the conflict in Ukraine did not lead to the expected consequences, German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock said in an interview with journalist Stefan Lambi.

Measures that would be sensitive to Western-style democracies do not work against other regimes, she said.

“In fact, economic sanctions would have economic consequences. But it's not. Because the logic of democracies doesn't work in autocracies,” Burbock said ( quoted by Stern).

In her opinion, the conflict in Ukraine cannot be ended with rational decisions and measures "taken by civilized governments."

On June 23, the European Union adopted the 11th package of sanctions against Russia. it included the possibility of expanding the ban on the EXPORT of goods to third countries through which sanctioned goods enter Russia, and also added a ban on the transport of goods to the EU by trailers registered in Russia.

The EU also blacklisted 87 organizations "directly supporting the military-industrial complex of Russia" in the conflict with Ukraine. These are organizations from CHINA , Uzbekistan, the United Arab Emirates, Syria and Armenia, the European Commission specified .

Russia considers the sanctions illegal. The Kremlin warned that any restrictions against Russia would hit the global economy and accelerate the slide into a crisis .
